Isn't there a national association of mentors to young kids? And if my memory serves me correctly I think February is Mentor Month...Does anyone have any information on such an organization like Big Brother Big Sister? Or is there any group here in Danbury that organizes Mentors? I know they have them in the Danbury Public Schools.
Danbury has a few mentor programs, Good Friend on Main Street provides adult mentors to kids from one parent homes. The DSABC Mentor Program is school based and matches adults with students for regular meetings during school. I am sure there are other programs and your best bet for getting involved would be to contact the Volunteer Center at (203)797-1154.
Thank you so so much I might just go down and see the folks at the Volunteer Center
