After 30 years, Tortilla Flats has closed. Their offering of tasty Mexican food has been replaced by a ,'neo-asian' restaurant. I am looking forward to this new place. Kabuki, & Ichiro and the others are great and I think if the owner keeps his prices moderately low his business will be successful. I believe this new restaurant won't open until April or May so if you are craving a taste of this food check out Wild Ginger in Ridgefield. I don't think we need anymore kabuki restaurants in Danbury, I guess if they have good food for an affordable price I'll try it but my boyfriend and I used to love going to Tortilla Flats, it was quiet and they had GOOD food. We will miss it.
Does anyone know what is happening to the Hibachi place (dby/newtown road.) I've gone there for many occasions since it has been in business and the other day I heard a rumor that it would be shut down as rats were found in the building....don't want to disappoint anyone but I am very curious.

They probably closed because of the lack of business, they had good food but every time I went there there was no one else there.
I had dinner at Bella Luna, the new restaurant that opened next to Two Steps. This place not only looks great inside, but the food is top notch. We tried lots of different items from appetizers to fish to pasta to deserts, and every one of them was great. Spread the word and give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
I totally agree about Bella Luna! Just last week I was there with my boyfriend, there pizza is so good!
Koo is actually very good. I have not tried the hibatchi, but I've had several of their meals, and the food was great! Good quality meat - not fatty or stringy and nice flavor. Definitely try it. The martini menu is quite appetizing as well.
Food was very good to excellent. However the pan seared scallops were toward the cold side. The service was extremely slow. The server brought our soup but had to run back for the spoons and brought back a teaspoon, had to wait to flag server to get a bigger spoon. Should use the type spoons for soups that other Asian restaurants use. No towels in the men's room and the baskets were overflowing. Had to go to the bar and use bar napkins to wipe hands as no one at host station. Used hancicap entrance which is a long way from the main entrance. When we left had to find the light switches to get back to the van as the hallway to the handicap parking was now dark. No seating at the main area for customers waiting for a table; and what was offered for a person with mobility issues was totally inappropriate (bar stool). Air conditioning was not well regulated blowing very cold on my back until later it came to a comfortable level. Again food and drinks very good, everything else they get a D.
