Just letting all of you know this evening beginning at 9p.m. Helena Abrantes will be the guest host on, "Ideas at Work and Beyond," with host Ivon Alcime. Abrantes will be making it clear to her audience tonight her steps for running for the Mayors Position this upcoming election in the programs' one hour broadcast.
Dbyblogger will post our thoughts and comments tomorrow on the blog for those of you who won't be able to tune in.

Will Boughton be on it as well? Haha most likely not. He just shows up to talk about he and the 'first' lady.
I do have to say the show, Ideas at work and beyond isn't one of the best. I see how well constructed Bethel, and Ridgefield's local broadcasts are and then watch Ivon's and it is horrible.
I understand he is new at this and it is completely volunteer work on his part but some organization is definitely needed.
That is not true Boughton has been on Ivan's show for sn entire hour to take calls and snswer questions.
How was our "I am an immigrant" candidate?
She said it again...she said she was an "Immigrant."
She had to use notes, her answers to the questions were not coherant and she appeared usure of her own answers. She unfortunatley didn't even have a specific issue she was good at. Overall a sad performance.
Can't wait to see the story danburyblogger is going to publish. Abrantes has knowledge of the city but I don't think she has it to go out there and shake the hands of everyone who doesn't know her.
The show wasn't bad however a possible candidate running for mayor should not be reading off prepared notes. (Wonder if she really wrote them)
Abrantes said she hopes to bring the DTC together this year by starting early and not waiting until the last minute to get their act together...I hope the Republicans took notes last night - hahahah

We gotta think of something good for Boughton to refer to himself as. "I AM AN AMERICAN." hahahahahha

The show was awful.....really sort of sad actually.
Yes I'd have to agree. NO strong points in her prepared speech.
Alot of the ideas she mentioned in her address last night, the Mayor addressed in his budget on Tuesday night.

Immigrants are Americans and Abrantes is legal

Right, the fire department only exists now because of volunteer fighters. I'm not holding my breath on more police coming here also.

Care to explain where he's made any progress in this area besides rhetoric.

By providing seven year tax breaks on condos so people can send their kids to school for free.
BTW: point #2 and 4 were NOT in his budget presentation. Maybe you should actually watch or read his presentation before offering your Boughton cheerleading opinion.
