Local Restaurant Shuts Down

The Danbury News Times commented briefly on the closing of Bennigans Restaurant here in Danbury. The Restaurant's owners had failed to pay certain tax bills in which they owed to the city.
Currently, the water at Bennigans Restaurant remains shut off.
If I remember correctly, I believe this isn't the first time this has happened to the owners of Bennigans. I remember it closing for a period of time in the past.

Its a shame that what used to be such a good restaurant became such a bad place to eat. Whatever happened over a year ago was the downfall to this place. My friends and I used to love to eat here.

I agree this used to be a great restaurant, hopefully they can do a major makeover of staff, chiefs and food and get it back to what it used to be.

what do the "staff, chiefs and food" have to do with anything? the article clearly stated the OWNERS didn't pay their taxes. i happen to know many of the staff personally, and not one of them is happy about this.

not to mention, they will have to makeover the staff, because most of them have left already for other jobs.

Staff is everything in a restaurant, if the waitresses and waitors aren't good, people will think twice about going there again, food is a no brainer and from my last experiene there they may have been calling dishes on their menu by the same name but they sure weren't making it with the same quality they used to, and by chiefs I meant chefs but I should also include the managers, owner and head cook, if management doesn't see that poor quality food and bad service is going on and affecting business then the place deserves to be shut down!
